Anyone play these new Stars 50-50's? At the final 5 (of 10players) ,instead of paying everyone double their buyin...they give you your buyin back..plus .33 per chip (in the 10 buck version).
I've played them a few times, tried each buy in level, stay away from the $1 tourny as too many go all in with nothing and usually catch.
The players are better and seem to play more realistically once you hit the $20 buy in or higher, the only thing is it can take over an hour almost 2 hours on one occasion to make $5 if you are not the chip leader.
To get paid well you have to be over the 3000 chip level when it ends.
Played the $1 last night and called the all ins, the tourny was over in 15 mins and had over 7000 in chips and got paid something over $3.50, was fun and short.
Kind of liked the 50/50 better, played like a game of survival more than anything else, once you had 3000 chips you could sit out and join another 50/50.
