Fallsview 2/5

Ive been searching for almost an hour so Im sorry if this is already on here somewhere, but Im just wondering what the max buy in for their 2/5 game is?

Im assuming its $500, but a few people have told me $300? I know there used to be a 2/5 and a 5/5 game, and the only diff was the max buy in, is that still the case?

Going to be playing there for the first time this weekend and would just like to know what my options are. Although, I only hear bad things about that place lol Im probably just asking to be punished.

Oh and also, how much is the session fee? Personally I think session fee for a NL game is crazy, but what do I know.

  • If I remember correctly.

    2-5 max $500, $6 session
5-5 max $1000, not sure if session is different from the 2-5 game.
  • 2-5 max 500 6.00/half hour
    5-10 max 1K 7.00/half hour

    No 5-5 game anymore

Both games are generally soft. The 2-5 game has a lot of new players mixed with regulars, easily spotted after your first orbit.

The 5-10 game is not tough but is high variance so bring 2-3K with you if you want to sit in it.

I tend to start on 2-5 in the morning and then if there is spots or I am actually up I move over to 5-10.

The 10/20 game usually runs towards late afternoon Fri/Sat and is full of 5/10 guys. Once again just need more money to play the game. The skill level is not there but the cash is. A lot of the guys that play the 10/20 game are business men who are millionaires who play 10/20 for shits and giggles. In otherwords for them to lose 5-10K in a day is not really going to phase them.

A good story from the 10/20 game was a player there who sat in the game because he said he got bored shooting 200-300K at the blackjack tables and wanted to try something new for a bit.
  • Think the Min for 2/5 is 300
  • Both are very soft if you can deal with the terrible poker room.
  • Bring your passport! If you are planning on playing at Fallsview on a weekend, get ready for terrible wait times (can exceed 3 hours). Especially with March break coming up starting today. I will be at Fallsview next weekend and will likely head to Seneca to avoid this very problem. Last time I went to Seneca, got on a 2/5 table within 30 minutes. You can call ahead at both Fallsview and Seneca (one hour I think at both).

No its 500, they removed the 300.00 max once they removed 5/5nl a year ago...
  • What are the MINIMUM buy-ins? Is there now an additional bad beat rake :rage: anytime the pot is at least $20?
    2-5 max 500 6.00/half hour
    5-10 max 1K 7.00/half hour
  • Min buy in 2-5 is 100 and 5-10 its 200

The bad beat must have a min of 20.00 in the pot, they do take 1 dollar out of the pot on the flop so essentially if it is the SB and BB in the hand SB must raise to 10 BB will call and on the flop someone needs to bet 5 bucks to check it down. (when playing 2-5 and higher)

The qualifying hand is AAA1010 so it is rather easy when you think about it (ie AJ vs A10) and it has been paid out several times already. The floor told me it usually takes about 45mins to run through the tape etc.

The majority of jackpots were won at 1/2 a niagara casino (for obvious reasons, more people in the hand etc)
  • 2/5 Fallsview = 1/2 Edmonton...sad

BBJ went Friday night, March 11 @ Fallsview for just over $50,000.
