Flopped Set line
Iono.
Thoughts on flop line?
OOP I doubt I can flat here b/c I def have to check turn, which he checks back almost always with non ace hands.
But for some reason I feel I missed value from what was likely JJ-KK based on his super strong preflop flat.

Comments
i don't know if this is a higher level than what i play but i can get like pocket sixes to stack off with that line i swear....but you at least get one more bet from him....
Yea def the other option that went through my head. He prob stacks underpairs alot of the time, but iono with his stack.
fwiw we were 1/2 in chips in the tournament ( by quite a bit) with 26 left.
Change the dynamic?
I wouldn't know :-[
was gonna ask how you have 100bbs at this level......
26 left im gonna say if theres like 300+ people reg'd in this tourney then ya you could prob slow down, i have no idea on the actually math but im sure you could slow down here....
...i generally only have to deal with cev mode....and here he screeeaams jj,qq, maybe kk with that flat pre. and the re raise post flop is rarely a flush draw i swear.
Good analysis. Hes def not cold calling with anything suited like kqcc etc so I think imo slower would have been much better.
meh live and learn.

...and i might be missing something but donking the turn with a smaller than normal bet inducing a tilted bluff shove like 87.9% of the time i swear
In addition, you have a large stack behind you. He could make your life extremely difficult when he flats your tiny 3 bet preflop and getting to the flop in position playing so deep.
The preflop raiser has a little less than 20 bets preflop. If you make a standard 3-bet sizing...you create the situation where he's most likely going to jam/fold preflop or stop and go on the flop. Unless you have more info, most ppl aren't opening light utg w/ <20 bets. If his hand is weighted towards the premium...it's better to get it in preflop. This is why raising more preflop sets up the situation properly.
On the flop, the c-bet is fine. When he min-raises you..I would think his value range would be AK/AQs/77/KQs. 77 and KQs would be pretty marginal calls preflop. Since the UTG preflop raiser could have shoved preflop...and he would have to fold those hands if you didn't fold.
In addition to his value range....his min-raising range would include a ton of bluffs. Since you 3-bet so small, I would weigh your hand towards a high pocket pair...more than a hand like AQ...since you would want to just want to get it in preflop with AQ vs the utg open. So knowing that your hand range is more geared towards high pocket pairs...he could try to move you off 1010-KK type hands.
Since there's very few hands in his range that has much equity....I don't see the point of raising on the flop. If he doesn't have AK/AQs/77/KQs there's little to no value to your raise.
I also don't like your 3 bet size on the flop. I don't see very many hands in your range where you could be bluffing. And if he does somehow have a flush draw....he's given the right odds to draw.
