This is the grand daddy of WoW, which I refuse to play. This was played (and still is) on a bbs server, and was created in Canada. Its called MajorMud. Don't let my race fool you Milo, I definately am an assassin, and a magical one at that!

I think the first PC game I ever played was Zork. Text based adventure game with absolutely no graphics, where you actually typed in what you wanted to do, where you wanted to go, etc. My friend and I spent days playing that thing.

How about the text game Adventure (circa 1975) which morphed into Colossal Cave later. I remember spending many (working ) hours on this in the late 70's in between service calls.... I was well payed to sit around.. lol... Much like most of you now..

Then once I got my first home pc, perhaps 1983? Along came the first of the graphic adventures King's Quest, etc which got my kids into it...

King's Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest and the ever awesome Leisure Suit Larry!!! Actually picked up a combo pack with all the Space, Police and Leisure games Still gotta find the King's one!

I absolutely loved Police Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry of course. Could never get into King's quest or Space quest.

I think the original ones were excitably in either CGA (4 colour), or EGA(16 colour) if your monitor could support it!

Neverwinter Nights.

The multiplayer game is the best game ever It provides services for hooking you up with other people and you can run a persistent world server for free. D&D 3.0 ruleset.

You can get Neverwinter Nights and all 3 expansion packs from Good Old games for $10.

Yes, nwn is supposed to be fantastic. Have screen shots of some of the graphics from friends who play. Would probably play that before wow myself, but as you can see I am an old fashioned girl
