UB Scandal. Shit is hitting the fan

Surprised there's nothing on here about this yet. On February 16th, Travis Makar, one of the big names from the UB scandal called into a radio show and dropped a shitload of information. Lot's of really interesting stuff came from this interview and hopefully this will eventually blow the whole thing wide open and we can all finally know what the fuck is going on.

Interview: Contains transcript as well as stream of the show.

  • Phil Hellmuth has been a very bad man
  • really a shame what happened to brad booth, but the years after he's rebuilt himself to my understanding... as for UB i dont belive they are out of the woods yet even, phil hellmuth left on good terms but hes doing whats best for him getting the distance from UB as is annie duke, the young guns getting there now are hoping the future will be bright, i dont belive this is the case.

as for their newest "friedman" i think UB is paying him boats and boats of cash just for him to say it because of how bad he was burned to shed light on it....this is one place i WILL NOT EVER play at, never been there or deposited, all i have to say is, im that lucky to not be there!!
  • Brad isn't even close to even after all this. In the interview he goes into how he basically got double dipped by Hamilton where he would get transferred money, lose it back then still have to pay it back. He also started betting sports and was down around 800K. He has around 120K left of that debt, then his poker debt which he still has to build back. It really is a terrible thing and I'm extremely impressed with how he's actually handled the whole situation.
I'm really surprised at how long it took for Phil to leave the site. I'm hoping he can shed some light on the whole situation as well, it probably won't happen but one can hope. I'm sure he has a lot of dirt on them. Also, Prahlad pretty much sold his soul when he signed with them. But I'm sure being on the payroll is probably the only way he will eventually get the money that's owed to him.
  • You pays your $$$, and you takes your chances.

    Except for Russ, of course.
  • I have read the Makar Transcript from the radio show and now I am listening to the radio program.
I just can't understand why people would continue to play on either site especially after all of this.

Although im sure anyone would do it to screw the guy that screwed you.....she doesn't strike me as the type of person who would knowingly take money that was stolen from other players.

caught up on the threads, some crazy shit. the new thought is ub may have had an issue where anyone could change their registry and see hole cards. The question now is could anyone have done it. and there is a suggestion now that some people had access to anyones account they wanted through a loophole in the security questions (when you say you forgot your password).

So the idea is (they aren't sure about this yet but its new info being sorted through) someone could log into a random account, see everyone's hole cards win money transfer it out and leave the same balance....then never touch the account again.....its not a solid idea yet but the possibility seems there

and theres a hand where hellmouth loses but the pot is shipped to him....wtf is that? i haven't finished that thread though.....

I have an idea...why don't we get the us government to run the online poker....that way there won't be any corruption ???

See bold. That is from I think a couple of years back. Have still yet to see any real proof of it as it's so easy to doctor hand history for posting on a thread. Not saying it couldn't have happened, just that I have yet to see real proof.

He (PH) has personally commented on the wrongly awarded pot. They claimed a glitch because "doubleballer" (I think it was) was temporarily disconnected or something of the sort. It happened.

ya i haven't finished thread but i was under the impression it happened and guys watched it happen and you can look it up....

i think this will be significant again thought, because disconnecting is not gonna do that and the important point was it was a pot with helmouth, which is quite a coincidence. will read more though...
  • Travis Makar has finally released the smoking gun files on the guilt of Russ Hamilton, Greg Pierson and the other UB scum.
