My question is:

are you concerned here about losing any value...a flat call to his min raise leaves me 2k behind.

Comments

  • Shove. Then move on to the next tourney, when the Villain tables QJs . . .
  • How do you check the flop?
  • By pushing the check button...duh. ;)

Why not give him the opportunity to bet here? I was hoping my sb raise pre looked like I was trying to steal the pot.

What are you thinking here, and what would you do?
  • Maybe a set, but more likely to be a chop, or better still A10. He might even have a naked Ace. I do not see you as being behind, so get the chips in the middle, girl.
  • Im thinking... his min raise makes me feel like he has 2pr that isnt as good as yours, maybe a,10. . . QJ is possible as well... tough spot.

I ship it after thinking about it.
  • thinking about the types of hands the villain could have, we're surely ahead of many, behind to a few. But there are also many hands that he can have that are drawing, so i think we want to shove here and make those hands pay....also since he showed aggression here and is fairly committed he will prob call his stack off with whatever he does have. if you jam and he folds on the off chance its not so bad cause we take down a big pot anyways. if you flatted and jammed the river you are brave ;)

On that flop, a check is not bad.

    100 percent correct!:)

I am feeling 2 pair here like A10.(my first guess anyway, lol)
  • Villain isnt deep enough to worry about losing value in this spot.

Hes got 50% of his stack in already, so ship it in.

I think that was the question right?

Reading the other responses we're not questioning that the stacks are going in, we're questioning the best possible way to make that happen right?

    i do believe so, right
  • Shove it. Collect the cookies. He may have A-Q . Pretty sure you have him crushed but he may be figuring you will fold.
  • If he's not retarded he's not gonna ship 2k into 7k on the river after you call his turn raise. Don't worry about shoving (which I don't see how we cannot ) the turn

Also, if he had QJ, he'd probably bet call the flop given stacks. If he has 77 I guess it sucks to be us

Yes, that is what I was asking. We all know that I am shipping the turn here, but the outcome of the hand prompted me to ask about the value at this point.

Obviously for a reason....his minraise was meant to scare me? I just dont understand his line.

  • its possible he had absolutely nothing....seems to me villain figured ace was a scare card. but ya there's too much draw on the board not to get it in on the turn.
  • how'd u end up doing anyways hun?

I was railing for a bit, that was the cap tourney wasnt it? I saw you with a decent stack then had to go out for dinner :)
  • I think, just looking at it, they repopped figuring you were bluffing the ace as a scare card, then realized they were fucked 6 ways from Sunday when you shipped. I think you got as much as you could. Nicely done :)
  • That minraise is cute.
Things to note on the hand....
he was the third limper, and once everyone folded he called your large raise. Big sign of an arrogant/loose player. Also a big tell his hand is probably complete trash. I mean, would you limp in after 2 people with AQ, AJ, 99+ here? probably not.
So of all the hands that beat us I can only put him on 77 and QJ.
Of all the garbage he's playing in this spot, I don't think there's any value to flat the turn. If it is, its fractions of +ev. Just pop getitin on the turn.

Also I dont like the slow play on the flop. He might just call you with 78 here or even reraise you. If he called pre with that trash, he's going to call again when he hits.
