What do you all think of the renovated poker room at Port Perry. Nice work! ... but doesn't justify them increasing the rake to 6% !! Looks like they're going to grab some more money back from the players to pay for the renovations!
Makes no sense to lose $7.00 (rake + bad beat) on a hundred dollar pot - this will especially be felt at the 10-20 games. The Omaha or 20-40 game is less significant but on principle alone the rake is still outrageous. You're definitely better off with the $5.00 session fee at Brantford for 10-20. I don't even bother tipping anymore since too much money comes off the table already.
They are really treating the players like second-class citizens. The least they could of done was reno the snack bar and off more choices for food, they can't even do that!

Their only good improvement they've implemented is you can buy chips from a cashier window now, why they never had that before is beyond every poker player that goes there.
Finished renovating a few days ago maybe. All they did was put up a permanent railing to close off the poker room to traffic. The tables and players are enclosed now versus being in open space before. They also changed the wall decor.
cell phone rule was implemented cause they actually caugth players cheating by using there cell phones. At least that is what I was told
