Poker Ring Games Changes - CAP Limit Poker Tables

If I read this correctly, you're basically limited to being all in if you have the max buy-in at the table? What's the bloody point? So now if you're a big stack, you can't bust another big stack, only take a chunk? Seems dumb. Please inform me to the goodness of this idea.

    CAP games are the nuts.

Theyre goodness in the fact that theyre like super turbo MTT. Theres optimal ways to play profitably and very few people know how.

It's bad for good players, and good for bad players and Stars.

Stars is in the business of making rake.

If the bad players loose there money too quickly, they make less rake.

It's to their advantage to not have the bad players get busted too quickly.

The biggest skill advantage good players have is on the big bet streets and when bets are big.

  • In summary, players play bad at cap because most are there to flip/gamble. They dont understand that their flip range is wider than a good players profitable call range.

Also: players go there to tilt, they still try to set mine, and they limp fold.
