Full Tilt Miriam Foundation Charity TV Tournament

The Full Tilt Miriam Foundation Montreal Open is one of North America's largest televised poker charity tournaments, held to raise money that provides Services, Research and Knowledge, for those affected by developmental disabilities. Much of the work done by the foundation and it's partners is focused on children and families, with support for Autism being just part of a large not for profit mission.
Poker players have always been known to step to the plate when in comes to supporting a good cause and chances are, most know of, have friends who or children of their own effected by developmental disorders. The Montreal Open is isn't without opportunity for players to prosper while doing what they love either, having fun playing poker with your eye on the prize is what makes this event such a success on many levels. From humble beginnings in 2006, it is now attended by thousands of players every year. Organizers have continually improved on the structure and prizing, the top thirty finalists will fly to Vegas and share a prize pool valued at more than $250,000 that includes 10 entries into the WSOP Main Event. The event is televised, with the winner receiving a VIP WSOP package and training with a Full Tilt Pro. Entrants also receive a meal, a free drink and are entered in another raffle. The 100 spots receive cash or poker entry prizing. The entry cost is a reasonable $275, with re-buys and add-ons being available for $125. "Red Pros" like Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, Marc Karam and Gavin Smith have all attended and support the event. This year it will be held from March 27th to 30th to play down to the Vegas portion.
For those serious players that need a little more prospect full profits in terms of incentive, Montreal's poker scene is exploding with action. Home to the current Main Event World Champion Jonathan Duhamel and with live poker being spread in the regions casinos and poker clubs still being relatively new compared to other areas, there are few places with more enthusiasm for the game.
