  • Smells like spew. You beat very little, and that flop hits a lot of hands. Only beat AQ and KQ. AT too I guess but he's calling. You only get like 55 to fold. maybe. don't like the move.

EDIT: Wait just realised I'm at work and I cant see suits. If you have a FD its pretty standard.

no flush draw, but its not a value bet...its a bluff....with an ace or a king in case he calls with a pair... (board is rainbow)
  • I think I'm reading this right...

Blinds look to be 50/100, and the guy min-raises, then you re-raise to 600, putting over 30% of your stack in? Seems like a push on the flop, though I may have gone AIPF (Pot's now $350, worth taking).

    Mark

P.S. - When and why did you start playing $50+5's?

yes i will sometimes shove pre.....but no reason to think this guy is that strong so try to get some more bones in the pot. so ya i didn't look at the board and just shoved.....

    i started playing $50 tourney's shortly before i took 4th in this.....

edit: oh and the why is because i think its almost time...and because too many people think q4s is a fold vs a sb shove from a pro
  • With 15bb I shove pre...as played I shove flop when checked to me

15 not antes is kinda my cut off....so sometimes i do this....
  • Since you 3x 3bet instead of shoving you have to shove there to keep the appearance that your super strong. I would pretty much always shove in that spot though.

how deep do you have to be to not shove, i guess thats a 2nd direct question implied here....seems were not questioning the postflop shove anyways....
  • I think I do anything under 20 with no antes, with antes I go to around 25

ya ok i got this sorted a little.....without the preflop raiser your not shoving 20bbs no antes though huh?
  • No definately not

    No definately not

ya no kidding......i have not been adjusting for this properly...only for without antes though...weird
  • Also, if you're slightly deeper pre you should probably 3bet a tad more than 3x over a minraise, but you probably already knew that

    maaaaybe i knew....we'll see....thx
  • 100% shove pre. I guess shove as played but you kinda butchered it. You can't go and go in position, the value in the go and go is having the initiative and being out of position and not allowing them to lead some flops or check some flops or w/e. You're giving them the chance to make you make a mistake as opposed to forcing them to make mistakes.
