montreal casinos/card rooms?
i might be heading out to quebec for a month this summer. i'm wondering if anyone has been out there and has an opinion on the casinos/card rooms.
i know there's a casino in montreal (which is where i'm most likely staying), and i think there's another one near by (possible on a reserve?). anyone know anything about these places?
i'm mainly looking to play some $1-$2 no limit but no higher than $2-$5.
i'm assuming that there are card rooms in quebec as well. anyone know any good places? what's your preference between casino or card room?
any links to specific websites would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Awesome food, shuttle service for groups of 4 or 5, hot waitresses, etc. etc.
i was searching online and came across their website. apparently they just opened up recently i think. looks pretty nice from what i can tell. and i think this place is only 15-ish minutes from montreal.
may i ask why?
The room lighting is kept darker at Playground, with bright lighting focused on the felts. Some players say they like this, myself I liked the brightly lit room in Four Aces and in terms of overall appearance and room to move about, hands down the 4 Aces was the best of the three, their restaurant was very classy in appearance, but again, Playgrounds Rail has the Best
menu and the vibe, had a Boston Pizza Sports bar type vibe, lots of people having fun. As much as I liked the look of the Four Aces and Snakes restaurant, it felt more like a place you would take a date, not hang out with poker buddies and party. Also just eerily quiet, the waitress and bartender would definitely be privy to any conversation
Snakes also had a nice restaurant and cash game wise had more action than 4 Aces, this being a Sunday night, not sure if it holds true all the
time. The room is smaller than the others, but neat and clean in it's design, big TVs with tourney info, kinda like TI's in Vegas if I had to
compare, not jamming, but cozy.
Playground had the best when it came to tourney info and sports on big screens, no comparison again. Also spreading more variety.
Going back to the rake, food and drinks in, especially if you are playing 1/2, non issue, the plates were huge, good quality meet and seafood, you get it back in the end.
Going to try to stop by casino Montreal on way back from Foxwoods....
I understand the rake is too high in Montreal, Can anyone quantify?
Playground Poker Club 1/2 8$ 10%
2/5 14$ 5%
5/5 14$ 5%

Wow, that rake sounds unbeatable. Is there also a bad beat jackpot theft?
What are the max buyin's at each stake?
