OTTAWA area private poker games

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone could let me know of any private poker club/houses in Ottawa (preferably the downtown area). I am interested in NL tournaments and cash games ($1-2).

Any help would be really appreciated since it's nearly impossible to find any information online.

As far as I know they are almost non exisistant now.... They used to be really poplular but the casinos shut almost all of them down. I have been trying to get a sit/go type fFirday night thing going at my place but it doesn't seem like there is much interest...Let me know if you hear of anything and I will do the same.

I don't know of any underground clubs in Ottawa as most got shut down. Most players looking for $1/$2 cash games and higher play at the casino. And most serious tourney players just play online and travel for big live tourneys (like PCA, WSOP, etc). There are medium-stakes tourneys ($100-$1000) at Snakes, 4 Aces, and Playground Poker, all about 2 hours away in Kahnawake. And if you want something less serious, there are "LTPQ" bar tourneys in Gatineau that are basically satellites to provincial championships.

P.S. I host home games regularly, but they've been filling up + waiting list, so I'm not really interested in inviting more players at this time. If I have room in the future, I'll let you know.

Thanks for the reply guys...as I already PM'd iNano I go to the casino from time to time, but don't drive so I was hoping there were stilla couple clubs running. If anyone hear's of anything or decide to host any small stake tournaments or cash games int he downtown area please let me know.

Looking to see if there is any interest, I want to host a live poker tournament next month in August (towards the end of the month). I'm trying to get as much people as possible to come out and play, I want to rent out a hall so we can have space and a relatively good pool of players! im still undecided on the buy-in im comfortable with anything ranging from $25 to $80 as a buy in (maybe even having a prize pool guarenteed). respond to post and plz tell me your buy-in range so i can plan this out correctly. Looking to host in Ottawa ON, this tournament will be 100% legitimate. (i have a thread labelled Poker tournament ottawa on, august 2011 post your replys there plz)
