to vegas 4 days!!

Just wondering, not planning to find something overly weak, Im looking to enjoy myself, feb 10-14, the venetian deep stack is going on, i think the 11th $340 holdem and $100 holdem turbo each night, probably going there to either hang out at the cash tables for PLO to get people steaming after or enter one of these things, any suggestions where to find the best action for low stakes, something like 1-2 2-5 5-10 plo is all good...something to enjoy live that i cant get in canada, feels sometimes like NO one plays PLO lol, any suggestions are good

  • Sounds like a very enjoying trip to Vegas. By the way, do you know do we need to pay tax for money we gain from US gambling?

    no
  • Not usually in Canada, but the US will screw you 30% withholding tax on tournaments :arghh: and other gambling (except cash games).
  • Venetian is probably still the best place to find PLO...usually a 2-5 going, but it's still hit and miss. During the DSE, I imagine it will run most nights.

Last time I played PLO during a DSE it was not soft but it was beatable in spots. There was one 2 5 going all night and it included wsop circuit winners , solid online pros and PLO bracelet winners. The 5 10 nl was way softer than this game but I kept putting in 16 hours sessions for some reason. Good times.

yeah, didn't mean to imply the game was soft.......just that it will be hard to find PLO elsewhere during that time
  • sweet as much as id want to enter DSE im unsure if the girl would be on board with such time investments during our trip but a good3-4 whatever hour sit down at PLO could benefit me well enough as well...thanks guys
  • Didn't play plo..surprised what little action there was did about 10-sh hours of 2-5 holdem at bellagio ended well in the black while taking a huge beat (chop) getting 400+ in on flop..so be it, she's full saturday nights it rocked!! Didn't make me miss how bad we are treated in ontario casinos lol
  • I played a 1-2 PLO at Venetian one night when I was there last week....it was very soft.

There was a 2-5 going as well.

Next time, if there isn't one going, get them to start an interest list.....the 1-2 PLO was fast starting, and soon had 5 names waiting to get to the game.

I'd love to hear more about this. How soft and why? What did you buy in for? etc, etc.
  • not to say what i got in was soft, 1 table at 2-5 for 3 hours, then another i sat at twice for 3ish hours each, in the black everytime (i wish it always was:( ) not soft, just need to make sure you find the fish, or draw enough attention to yourself that your thought as the fish and be tight...more fun than anything, i asked around about plo at ceasars, mirage, wynn, bellagio and the venetian, only it was saying they ran plo really at all its kinda upsetting, but then so be it. If anyones going anytime soon I would at least suggest bellagio, although the rules are a bit wild, they dont want you flipping your hand up during for reads, dont talk about a hand, even head up...i flipped up my hand for a read the dealer went to grab my hand with my hand ON MY CARDS AND LIVE!! i was all "ummmm, im holding my hand, its not dead yet!" none the less you are well taken care of, alot of action on a saturday night, if only canada would have such things
