HVEE, 13cards is not a part of fallsview at all. He used to be and he hasn't been for awhile. Heard he was coming back to fallsview but I am pretty sure he didn't.
Wow. That was an interesting read. I can't believe that the pit bosses allowed the guy to scalp the tickets. I would of called the police. The ticket is to an 'event' and he is charging more than 'face value'.
Absolutely illegal. It would be deemed illegal in the courts as well as this man reselling the tickets helps the economy in no way, shape or form.
Is there anyway I can get the gig as manager of the poker room. I'm currently unemployed and can use a cool job like that.
I have been on the inside of these tourneys since day one of the WPT at Fallsview. A few facts to straighten out some misconceptions:
1) Absolutely correct about the people scalping super vouchers. The poker management did become aware of it, and should have corrected it, but in order to do so, they would have had to actually hear or see the scalping. I do know that they will not be selling more than one per Player card number in the future.
2) Empty tables in the poker room: This was only when all of their poker dealers were dealing in the tourneys. As soon as dealers became available, they were put into action.
3) The WPT did NOT leave the Fallsview. The Fallsview let the WPT go, because the WPT did NOT fulfill their contract with the Fallsview at the last WPT there in 2008, by not delivering on several major commitments for the event.
All that being said, the Fallsview has done a pretty nice job of building this event. They also listen to EVERYONE'S feedback, and take that into consideration in making improvements. And, listen closely for a major tournament announcement in the near future.....

I call bullshit on #2. Friday @ 1pm what tournament was running?? Its the shift changes they did not align properly.
Glad to see that they will prevent the scalping but as previously noted in my other posts these issues they had at Fallsview could have been avoided by looking at established casinos that already run tournament series.
Not too mention this happened last year so why did they not adjust it this year. It's good though that they are listening and hopefully they make the proper changes because they can be a decent poker room if they just fix small things.
Can't wait to see a big series, I hope for the NAPT but i doubt it considering the OLG is looking to run their own Online poker sites shortly so I don't see how Pokerstars can get in there, but one can dream
Promises, Promises They knew it was going to happen. The cages knew when people were walking up buying handfuls of vouchers long before the satty even started. I will believe this all when I see it.
Not likely the NAPT is coming, I will be surprised if it is. I can't see the gvmt letting an on line site sponsored tour waltzing into Ontario, even though it will bring in uber tourism dollars. And also because Dalton and his gang are a bunch of idiots.

I have never left Fallsview since it opened and , unless I hit LottoMax, don't expect to be leaving anytime soon.
I thought he was at Fallsview but not working in the poker room. I thought he had been in the Salon Privee for a while.
I am around still "in the pits". I did not have anything to do with the FPC nor do I work in the poker room (except for extremely rare ocassions of breaking another sup).
"Tournament director Tino Trinci said that they could have sold 1,000 seats for that first event if they had the table space.
:
The Fallsview Casino Resort has plans to expand the Fallsview Poker Classic to an even bigger size for next year, and rumours are surfacing of a major tour stop coming to Fallsview in 2011."
I hope the new owners of the WPT will kiss and make up with Fallsview to have the biggest ever field in Canada. Or the Canadian Poker Tour holding the biggest ever Canadian Poker Championships at Fallsview would be OK too.

It would be great to have the WPT back. It was one of the best tourneys around. Large Field and a whole week of poker for those who manage to make it through and a massive payday at the end.
WPT also brings some of the best hold em players in the world. Great way to promote the game here too. IMO.

Great article...
Yes, the current talks include a whole bunch of activities around a major event. Time will tell, but I CAN tell you that it will NOT be long before a decision and hopefully announcement is made. And it will not be a CPT event.

Would read again.
Excellent Story!
Bunch of fricking hillbillies.

I read it and re-posted it. What more would you like me to do? I am not the TD.
