Phil Helmuth & Annie Duke leave UB
Soooo -- UB sucks.
Wonder where Helmuth will end up. I see PS signing him. Can't really seeing him go to FTP at all.

He'll follow this by bloating up to 325lbs., get involved in a weight loss prop bet, and die of a coronary while hopped up on Xyience and Weight-loss pills. The only persons unhappy about this, will be members of Dead pool III.
My guess would be a Merge, Cake skin, or one of the Harrah's properties that will be dominating the US market shortly (WSOP.com on Pacific anyone?).
Somehow I think this decision was based on the fact that UB will be banned from the US market once regulation is put into play and he wants to be a part of that.
Though tbh, I really could care less.
Wonder where
Stars has said in the past they have no interest in him but hey they can change there mind.
All this talk about about Annie going to Full tilt makes me laugh, everyone forgot the Annie/Full tilt fiasco where Full tilt gave her the boot!
He was part of the old ownership. They were bought out a few months ago. Supposed to be a big signing by UB probably announced before the UBOC.
That was Clonie Gowan.
Meh, all the same,lol
And yet.... totally different!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This is hilarious. Hate those commercials. At least caught someone.
In some ways.....
It's all about the $$$$$$, money, monay!;)
Holy sterotype Batman! Apparently some people do think that they all look alike.
UB probably got sick of listening to both of them. Tilt and Stars don't need them either.
I could very well see him and her going together and starting up a new room.
They may even team up with one of the Casinos in Vegas.
Not sure how much Annie has in the Bank but I am sure Phil would back her . WITH INSURANCE.
No.
UB knew which side of the bread was buttered on. Why else would they give Phil a big entrance to the Main Event every year?
Do you think UB would have kept him on as a sponsered pro based on how he acted and represented the brand for several years if he wasn't bringing in new players?
He was good for business for UB.
I don't think the issue is Stars or Tilt wouldn't want Phil Hellmuth. I think Phil Hellmuth's ego won't let him be one of a stable of poker players. At UB he's always been number 1, at any other site he'd be competing for attention with their big names.
My guess is Hellmuth might sign with party poker, to my understanding they are going to make a huge US push soon and try to jump into the drivers seat with regulation and everything and be the front runner and need someone like him to be on the flag-ship of it commercials and egos too big, he can always hop online and steam some money off to tony-G too around the clock.
Early speculation is that it might be Prahlad Freidman, who was one of the biggest victims of the ub cheating scandal, so few would expect him to return to ub.
I also find it funny that when Michael Binger was let go a few months ago, no one had anything to say, other than maybe Michael who? It seems they are getting rid of all their "old-school" stars and are looking to replace them with the young guns.
I'm predicting a quick death for ub once regulation passes and they're forced out of the US market, regardless of what Sebok recently stated about 2010 being ub's strongest year ever.
...
They sorta got me as well the first time I saw them. It seemed odd so I actually paid attention and realized the truth after that. They now have a couple different ones where they spoof the FT commercials.
