Kem cards in Toronto?

Hi guys, I'm new here, and have really enjoyed reading the forums, I've learned alot. What I was wondering is if anyone knows where I can find KEM cards for sale in Toronto. I havent been able to track any down, and would like to have 2 decks for a tournament I'm having on the 22nd. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

first off, welcome to the forum joe. with regards to your question, ive seen kems at various games/games-related stores (mind-games, fg bradleys, etc...), but most of them are either ugly (like, tacky flowers or something) or not kem at all. they are also overpriced, but if you need them, you need them.

i dont know where you live in toronto be up at fairview (donmills/sheppard) theres a store by the HMV called 'Q' or something that sells the ugly kems for 45cdn.

id recommend just getting cheap non-kem plastic (or non-plastic) cards for now and order some kems off of ebay (or if you play at pstars you could order their cards too, but they smell kind of funny).

if there is a place in toronto to find kems for <40 id like to know about it too actually

you can try ebay. Else, I have an extra dual deck of kems. Its Maroon/brown and a green deck. Its not flowery or sceneric. I got it through a promotion to sign up/deposit for a cardroom a while back. if you interested, maybe we can work out a price. I can have it shipped Jan 15th/16th, which I am sure will get to you before the 22nd, as Toronto to Toronto is like >3days. Or if your in the downtown area, you can stop by to pick it up in person.

thanks for your help guys, i actually ordered a 2 deck set from this place pjccmall.com, $20 US for 2 KEM decks, best price i could find anywhere including eBay. I suggest checking them out, they have lots of stuff, shipping is like $8 to here, at least for the cards.

I have 100% plastic cards available for sale. Each set (2 decks) are Cdn$35 if you buy it from the back of my van.

I am located in North York and most times I am very close to Fairview Mall.

These cards are the World Poker Tour 100% Plastic Cards which retails for Cdn$50 plus taxes in many gaming stores around town. These cards are manufactured by KEM / International Playing Card Company. IPCC makes teh popular Bees and Bicycle cards.

Keep in mind that these cards are NOT plastic coated, they are 100% PLASTIC.

but I have heard from a few different people, actually, that Kem is either shutting down (getting purchased) or at least not distributing to Canada anymore.

I've heard that KEM has been purchased and is not in production right now with the original KEM card. Can't remember where I read it... but I know it wasn't on the same page as bigfoot sightings.

I was talking to the lady that is the Vice President of the company I ordered my KEM cards from and she said that KEM was purchased by Bicycle and they are transferring production to their own plants, so production has slowed down. But it will be returning to full levels, i assume once they get organized or whatever. I dont know about supply in Canada, I ordered from the states, 2 decks for $20 US + s/h. I told her that was a good price and she said they have a good deal with Bicycle, which is how I found out they bought KEM. They aren't producing the wider cards yet, just the "Bridge" cards that casinos use for poker, as opposed to the "Poker" style that is used for Blackjack, etc.

what is the difference between KEM cards and regular bicycle cards??

Boys I am in Denver right now and I found KEM cards for $23US for the two deck package. I bought 2 sets or 4 decks. I figured that is the best I will get!
