I'm good with it. Would have been better to have the Aces suited, but you got what you wanted . . . namely one customer for your (relatively) dominating hand. Next time, you'll be called by somebody who has Q,Q,Jc,6c and the J high flush will bust you . . .
Funny you should say that. Guy I got it in against got yappy after I beat him. He caught lucky on 3 aipf, including cracking a guys AAKJ w/Ah10hXX hitting a runner runner flush. Anyhow, he got ai against my QQxx with some random crap and hit. Seems like I get less angry at Omaha because I know there's a ton of cards that can always ruin me lol.
Hand noted below, if you played it any other way, I'd say go back to holdem. I hear people say 'AAXX is overrated'.......these people are nits, and shouldn't play PLO....I take that back, they should play more.
AA29 with no suits will still be better than 50% against all hands (double suited straight, etc.), and us much as 70/30 favourite when suits are doubled, and kickers are better.
Now, picking your spots is important. Early on, when you have 50-100 BB's, I tend to play them to hit the flop. I won't generally raise with them unless I can get 30%+ of my stack in the middle. Make sure you're raising with other good hands, and people will try to play back at you when you have the goods.
Also need to recognize bad flops........ie. 9 10 J, etc. Don't over commit yourself to a pot you're drawing to runner runner.
Early in tournies, only call your big draws, as when you get there on the turn, more people will still pay you off, and they will generally call off their stack with 2 pair (not what we want). Late in tournies, raise big draws to put pressure on....usually better players when the field gets whittled down, more willing to fold 2 pair, etc.
