Figures

Last night was a continuation of the bad run I've been having lately, I just can't seem to crack these micro tables (.01-.02). I work hard on playing a tight game and keep getting slaughtered by bandits who stay in a hand that any normal player would have dumped long ago! I get dealt pocket Q's, I raise before the flop, catch another Q on the flop and get taken out by a guy that stayed in with 2s 6c and caught his straight on the river.....

So I went on tilt, >:D I figured the hell with it, I called everything, pocket 3's, all in, why not. 5 10 offsuit, raise, flopped a pair of 5's, reraise.... I started at 3 tables, ended playing 12 tilt tilt tilt.....

And what really really has me frustrated, when it was all said and done and I had enough and quit for the night, I was up $1.35....... stupid game

  • Well being up is good. Well, things to learn at beginning levels is to play solid and manage your tilt factor.

Really.....you are surprised by this when you play micros.....

You might have more fun/make more money/better use your time by turning over the cushions in your couch and look for pennies...

A lot of people don't play poker for the money. I would be surprised if more than 1% of the people that play online play for the money. They play because they enjoy the game. Money is the result of good play in poker. The challenge is becoming a good poker player and you learn how to from the beginning at microstakes and learning good bankroll management.

Started out well last night and then the bandits found me so instead of tilting I took a break for a couple of hours. After I went back things were ok, I was able to regain what I had lost earlier in the evening to the bandits. When I was finished for the night I calculated for the total time I had been playing I had gained 1.2BB per table per hour! :)

Another 1.5 years and my bankroll should be enough to move to the .02-.05 level.... :D

Playing micros is like playing spin the bottle with your own sister.....no one wins.

Micros and bingo have much in common....but whatever floats your boat.
  • Every Donk, Suk Out, Retard and River Rat Plays Micro. You may as well be playing LIMIT. Play MTT's or single table tournaments. Fuck the online cash games.
  • Are you guys kidding me?
In no way is micro luck. If you can't beat the micros, you aren't good enough. I started off at 2NL.
I'm still playing the micros at 10NL making my way to 25NL but keep getting pushed back.

At 2NL, you learn to be patient and not play junk hands.
