shame on me

I was doing pretty good last night when I turned into Superman. I'm posting this to shame myself:

** Dealing River ** [ 5 spade.gif ]
elemonstero1 shows [ A diamond.gif, K spade.gif ] a pair of kings.
djw666 shows [ Q spade.gif Q club.gif ] a pair of queens.
elemonstero1 wins $107.2 from the main pot with a pair of kings.

Now that was stupid.

I don't think elemonster01 would have dropped the AKo pre-flop, so my call wasn't horrible. The plan should have been to see the flop, if any scare cards come down, then I can drop QQ. I think it was obvious he had something in the line of: AA-TT, AKs, AQs, or AKo.

So to find out where I am at, I raise his $5 another $7, and he quickly re-raises me another $7.

Case closed, he has it, or better.

So I call.

The turn is crap, and cannot be a scare card to him. Good thing I decide to call his $28+ bet.

* hangs head in shame *

This should have been an easy fold, I've even made it before. My session was just going so well that I felt like I couldn't be beaten.

I was $107.20 wrong.
