Replacement KEM; Anyone have a success story?

I have a set of KEM's that I've used now for a couple of years, mostly during Ching Hill games every week. Last Thursday, one of the players noticed a marked card, ruining the deck.

I've found the KEM site and they do have a replacement card program. The problem is I got this set as a gift originally, and would hate to through out the whole deck, and a replacement needs me to fill out a form and send $3US to the states. Guess I can write a cheque seeing as how our CDN$ coins most likely won't make it there, but I am hesitant on sending any money to the states via post.

Anyone have any success with replacing KEM's or Copaq's for that matter? Could care less about the cash, but I don't want to get ignored for my replacement just because I'm Canadian.

  • You could go to HPT, and see if anyone has a deck they are using for spares. Might get it free, if you're lucky. Other than that, send a cheque, in a blank enevelope inside the envelope you are going to mail . . . security issues solved.
  • I have some spare decks too so whadaya need?

If it is an original KEM you are SOL but if it is an USPC KEM then you should be able to get a replacement.
  • :qh
Blue Poker size I believe. If you got it, would make it easier on me.
  • Copags are easy to replace, and you don't need to send them any money.

With Copag you just email them what you need and in about a week they show up in the mail and they ask you to send back the damaged cards.
  • I haven't had to replace any copags since I found out you can iron them..lol hard flat surface, cover sheet and a hot iron...takes out "dents", which was my biggest issue with the cards.
  • I had emailed some manager at KEM with the following:
"I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I lost the Ace of Spades from my Gold deck of the following:
KEM ARROW NARROW Size Playing Cards (BLACK/GOLD)
    Item# 0315 , Index: Regular Index

Would it be possible for KEM to send me a replacement card?"

She replied by asking for my address, I provided it: it's been 7 months with no follow up lol.

Glad it's worked for you, but I can see this ending badly in soooo many different ways.
