You are BOTH in Waterloo, and looking for cash games?? And can't find one??
AND YOU'RE IN UNIVERSITY??
Please do enlighten us... back 2-3 years ago i knew of a couple, but many of em got shut down. I only know a few poker players so my network isn't very big and there isn't much online about them.
I know waterloo is supposed to be a hotbed of poker players which is why i am surprised i am having so much trouble finding a decent local game.
Maybe you could scroll down the page of this site a little and look under local games in Ontario.
I live about an hour east of Waterloo, and I am willing to wager that I could find at least three or four games there inside of an hour just by getting in touch with people on this site. You may find it a little more iffy as a new member, but still . . .

Hey Milo,
Thanks for your suggestion. I did however scan through the most recent couple pages and all i could find were small buy-in tournies and what seemed like short stack cash games. I will take another look, but I thought I might be able to find something actually in Waterloo for convenience since I don't have my own car.
The KW poker community that I know are mostly members of CPF. We usually play smaller limits (.25/.50 or .50/$1) since we're all pretty good friends and don't mind taking $100 off each other. Any higher and I think some ill feelings might develop after a few sessions. That being said, I would say that these games play like $1/$2 or higher.
I'm not sure where a regular 1/2 game can be found, although I'm sure there are a few. They just don't get posted here.

Thanks Johnnie,
If you do hear of anything or know anyone that might be able to share some info about regular 1/2+ NLHE or PLO games in the area i'd really appreciate it if you could post it here.
Johnnie's right though guys... keep an eye out, play some tourneys around here, and you'll find games - I know a few that'd like to play cash games... not sure if 1/2 would fly, but the quality of poker is better than casinos around here, so it's a good training ground.
