When he re-raises you and you push back did you want him to call? I'd say you are glad you got it all in. You are just unhappy with the result. Every poker player goes through this at some point. If you don't think this is going to happen to you no matter how good you think you are you would be wrong and should try I different game. He did have you out chipped 3/1.

The only question was whether you should have shoved instead of a min raise to put him at the test. That's the only thing you could have done differently. He probably would have called given his chip stack vs yours. Good job getting that far - I know how tough it is.
