Bad timing?

So...the baby has just been changed and is back sleeping. Would it be a bad time to fire up the computer and play a little poker?

"not at all "you say....

What about the fact that the midwives are here and my gf is in labour? Do you think she will notice or mind?? I mean...what else am I supposed to do?

  • Cash games should be fine. Just don't fire up a tournament. :-p
  • I like your thinking. But it was 6am..and she was sleeping...so I fired up a sng...silly me....

Baby boy!! Born at the 5th blind level... :)

    Congrats!

    You bubbled tho right?
  • Congrats . . . I suggest you never let the missus see this thread. Wimmenz can be a bit unreasonable, even after the fact.
  • Congrats!

    Late night feedings = SnGs
  • Congrats!!

I agree with Johnnie - late night feedings are perfect Sit-N-Go time.

I may or may not have done this a number of times over the past 3 weeks ;-).

(Oh Jenna - if you're reading this - I definitely did NOT do this)

    (Everyone else - I definitely have ;-)
  • Thanks all :) Unfortunately, double bubble...5th. I came back to seeing my self lose with 78s..Comp?? Whats up with that? Thought it was a sure winner?

Mommy will be doing the late night feedings for the first while of course, and I will be on toddler wake up/changing duty.

I highly recommend a home birth with midwifery if any of you ever have the option.
  • Congrats on making it to the 5th blind level!

Congrats on your maximum effective use of time... Oh, and 78's, well you need some fold equity to play that... Don't let yourself get blinded down so low with 78's.... Oh and congrats to the missus too...
  • Congrats!!

I found late night 3am feedings were the perfect time for Rush Poker. Get as many or as few hands in as you want, then get off the table.

Though the biggest effect having a daughter last year did to my game was sent me on the biggest downswing of my life. :(
  • Congrats man.
  • Congrats on the little one! I think if you can find an audio track of a car engine idling and loop it, you'll be able to play while the baby is in your arms. :)
