Fraser Valley Home Game

I am looking to start up a home game in Feb. The game will start at 7pm on Friday nights and go into the wee hours. I live the Central Fraser Valley; driving from Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford or even Chilliwack would be very easy and quick on the #1.

Dealer’s choice out of the following games:

Holdem
7 Card stud Hi, 8OB & Razz
Omaha Hi & 8OB
Classic Draw
Deuce to 7 Draw
Crazy Pineapple

That’s it! No wild cards - No other BS

Limits: $ 1/$2
Blinds: .50/$1
Antes: .25

I will provide poker chips, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks (BYOB)

$55 will get you $51 in chips, $20 will get you $18 - chips will not be sold in smaller increments.

The extra $ is to cover the costs of the food and help pay for the chips.

The game will observe all rules of poker. String bets, talking about your hand, playing out of turn and other rule violations will not be allowed. Rude or obnoxious players will not invited NOT to play in the future.

Anyone caught cheating will wish they where never born!

Basically it will be a well-run fair and honest game. If you are interested please leave a post on this thread or PM me.

At $2-$4 per player, every Friday!

Them must be some damn nice chips and the food, is it catered?

Dude, it'll never fly. You buy chips because you want your buddies to come play, maybe ask people to split up the duties on food and beverages.

But at approx. a 10% rake to play....I'd rather go to the casino.

If you want to make money by organizing games, rethink your structure, and check out the different threads...or go to www.homepokertourney.com to see how to run it.

Trust me, I learned the hard way, atleast you didn't ask for opinions  the opinions here are great, and everyone has some great idea's, but they don't hold back. If you ask for advice don't take it personal, we are just offering our opinions.
