WSOP coverage

WTF is going on with the sound levels. Did they let some guy from a high school A/V club edit the episodes?

It's just awful.

The crowd noise is so loud it is distracting. They even let the crowd noise come in when they are doing obvious voice overs added after, like when they come back from commercial and update the chip counts. Then quite often they add in a guitar riff that is so loud you can't even hear the announcers.

The worst is the Straight from the Pros and Player segments where they play the background music throughout the entire segment and it is so loud it quite often drowns out what the player is saying.

Horrific and amateurish.

  • I watch it on youtube and don't notice anything other then the 'Straight from the Pro's ' thing you mentioned, they play it all like turned down throughout the entire segment and it sounds like they are trying to make it sound like old commentary from a legendary Stanley Cup Winning goal or Super Bowl Winning touchdown. It's cheesy and bad..

    I'm pretty picky with this stuff too ( I do some video work ) and watching it on youtube I didn't notice any of the other things you said. Might be the channel you were watching it on? Sometimes when I watch NHL on TSN the volume fluxuates a lot.

  • Yeah I took a look online and it's not as bad. Must be the way the channels are separated on the surround sound.

    I find this post lol cause you seem like the type of guy who would actually waste your time to call your cable company and yell at some 21 year old call centre kid who has nothing todo with the issue and probably has no means of which to fix it.
  • More like call them and have them argue with you and try to put the blame on you.
