Month of October

So with all the bad beat posts in here, thought I would make one that is a bit more encouraging for the tilters...

I started about this time last month playing strictly $2 - 180 mans. I downloaded the trial of table ninja and started grinding it up.

My tableninja trial expired on Saturday night. Just in time to get Silverstar Status for the month on stars. First time ever getting more than Bronze. WOOT!

    What does table ninja do?

Tableninja helps you multi-table. Does all the annoyances for you like auto registers u, closes the lobby once ur registered, preprogrammed bet sizing with hot key actions.

I used to struggle with more than 4 at a time, but with ninja im playing 12. Could probably play more but I decided I want to make sure Im still playing good poker before adding more.

Johnnie, I think I have shipped 13 this month just from looking at the graph. I cant seem to get PT3 to load my results yet though or I would have a firm count on that...

The fact that you can't quite remember how many you've won gives me a bit of a chubber.

Well done. (about the rungood, not my semi-erection :) )
  • Take the man-love someplace else please.
  • nice work...yw for the ninja suggestion, now ship the 10%

lol, dam you, I was going to say 10% for his coach Phil too!:D
  • Philli, I thought coachin was free?....

However, GTA, that ninja advice, NOW THAT WAS GRADE A ADVICE!
  • So did you buy it? What do you figure is the best feature?

Yup I bought it ($50 for two liscences).

Best Features, I dunno if I can name just one. The hotkeys probably save the most time. I rarely use my mouse during a session since I am just using the up and down arrow to toggle through games until one needs my attention. Then its a simple key to do my action: F (fold), B (Bet), A (SHIPPPP IT!), V (Check).

But with that said, the bet sizing also is a HUGE help. You can adjust it to bet x BBs, or xyz% of the pot on each different street. You can also set it up to adjust your opens based on size of blinds. I guess this feature is more for non-turbos since I mostly shove/fold pre.

When mass multi-tabling its a must. I just can't imagine playing without it now. It would seem so boring to have to wait on action if playing 2-4 games.

PS I didn't create this thread to get a bunch of you guys to become regs in my games! lol Though I do see r3m1x multi-tabling these from time to time.
  • No I'm not playing 180s. Mostly 4-6 table $12 90s on tilt and 45s on Stars. But I might try this software and try playing like 8-10 at a time at $6.50.

haha, I was kidding. There are PLENTY of fish in these $2 180s that a few more regs wouldnt make a difference imo.

For sure try the free month trial...I knew within a few days that I had to buy it though...
  • How do you set up your tables? Cascade, tile or stacked, as in the video?
  • I stack them
  • So do you cycle through the tables manually or just let the software do all the work? It kind of drives me crazy to not be 'banking time', as it were, by prefolding all your crap hands when you are not busy.

Also I don't get why sometimes it pops up the table but makes it purple instead of red so your hot keys don't work. Any idea why that is happening. Annoying to have to click on the table or use a hot key to make it active.
  • Another question. I see an advanced action hotkey for check/fold but is there one for just check?

Usually I just let it run on its own and it pops up when action is needed. But when I would like to see if I made a good/bad call/shove then I need to move up and down to find that table again. Thats when it sometimes gets a bit overwhelming. If I stick to letting the software do its thing, it is a lot easier I find.

Re: second point, Im not 100% sure, but check your table control tab. I have mine on "table under mouse" and "bring to foreground" is checked. Not sure if this is standard, or not, but it seems to work fine for me as long as my mouse is overtop of the table somewhere, and not off on some random spot of my desktop.

Not that I know of, but I don't use AA hotkeys.

You need to set the Set Table Aside hot keys. Still figuring this out, but I set aside tables with interesting hands, as you say, low stacked tables and all final tables.

I think next I am going to try stacked with all tables in the center of the screen with the four corners used for Set Table Aside. I'm trying F1 F2 F3 F4 for that but I might switch to QWER.

What other hot keys do you use? I find space/bar with, Click 'check' on 'checking is free' popup selected, works great for fold, because it also checks me in the BB and on the flop when there is no action to me so it kind of does double duty for me as check/fold too.

Yeah this will come in handy for FTs .... I will check that out tonight. Thanks. I knew it was there from that 2+2 prop guy talking about it, just hadn't looked into it yet.
  • TN is easy to get for free..just saying.

    Legitimate??
  • Yeah I haven't had todo it yet but my friend says everytime his 30 day trial is up he just goes into the registry and deletes some notepad file and the 30 day trial is reset.

    Edit :

Should rephrase, some people might not view that as legitimate, but wasn't sure if you were implying you didn't want to acquire software by illegal/grey area type means or if just didn't want to run a cracked version due to complications or the hassle of finding one that works well.
  • Thought I should add, just did it, works like a charm... Delete registry file takes 2 seconds and your 30 day full access trial is extended.

I have a 15'' laptop so usually can only handle 4 tabling without having the tables really smalll and cascading which I hate, but 4 tabling was going almost slow when I first started using TN so even on my laptop I can 6 table no problem.

If you multi table you'd be nuts not to use this program.
