  • Looking for better spots is the biggest mistakes people make.

The difference between profit and loss is so marginal u need to push every edge, no matter how small.

If you know youre ahead, even a bit, exploit it.

btw thats a really bad fold, if you folded. AQ/AK almost always.

ok i will trust that....and given your explanation then yes i knew it was a bad fold.....been reading some T. guerrara on edge needed for certain roi.....if you don't play that way then i won't....need tkpbtn book to reference and discuss...but maybe not needed....

it was you guys hammering into me to take any edge...so ive been doing it....but thinking i should be makin more......

    i love amanda lang

    thx

    ps what do you know.....
  • pss i think he shows jt as much as ak was a total snap call
  • Now if some old dude open ships 30 bigs in a live game we have a different conversation. Edges are much different there and Im not sure if Guerrera was referencing live or online play. In online play because basically the majority of the table is competent all edges need to be pushed.

well we'd have a different range too .......book is mostly about online.....the chapter was on n-ups....double up etc. but it wasn't about being profitable it was about the edge needed for double ups to produce a higher roi...but in the same sentence talked about taking any edge you could get...little confusing...might have to ask him .....^-^

Yea theres a few different philosophies out there and I think each author has his own take, but it basically boils down to those that argue tournament life is paramount and those that argue pushing edges is trump.

old guy is like KK+ always here.
