Release the CANons....an epic session of poker!
I was witness last night to one of the most epic sessions of poker... nothing comes close to the madness I experienced last night. As one person at the table said "I would pay money to watch this table on tv".
This was a live 2/5 game at a local club and the CANons where in full form. $500 max game (too bad) and players were pushing in full racks hand after hand. The hand of the night had to be a $3k plus pot that went something like this:
Pre-flop Villian raises to $25 and he gets four callers. Flop comes 9910 and MP bets $100. Villian comes over the top for $400 and MP raises all-in for $1,400. Villian ponders for a minute and calls. MP shows J9 for a set and Villian turns over KQ for the gut-shot drawing to a J. Villian calls $1,000 raise w 4 outs (so he thought)!!
Too bad it had to end

As I told a number of people at Ron's game in Milton, the sickest session I've ever heard tell of took place at the Grand Lisboa. A friend of the infamous Mr. Laak sat down at a table with $50,000 USD and cracked it, leaving with $1,300,000.
Now that's a session I probably would have paid money to watch.
