Woot.
Otherwise......
- Peterson no brainer, actually have seen him #1 more often than not.
- Like Jackson to rebound but don't expect miracles.
- Johnson is a beast, no doubt in my mind he's a top 5 receiver. Boldin is more meh imo.
-I like Flacco but not sure how much. What other QB's were left there?
- Like Smith and Moreno there.
- Stafford and Sanchez.....I'm thinking this must be a QB heavy league and it was getting thin. Don't hate them but I wouldn't want to have to rely on either of them if Flacco went down.
- RUN to the nearest post office to mail Edwards a years supply of stickum.
- Cowboys D, I would have reached early on a defense instead of K.
- Love Celek, almost fell off my chair when I saw this, then realized it's not a TE league.
Overall pretty good. Hope Flacco stays healthy.
Drafted a couple weeks ago. 2nd pick of 14 team league. Start 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2 Flex, K and D/ST.
In order
Chris Johnson Ten RB
DeAngelo Williams Car RB
Roddy White Atl WR
Brett Favre Min QB
Hakeem Nicks NYG WR
Kevin Kolb Phi QB
Jeremy Maclin Phi WR
Laurence Maroney NE RB
Green Bay DEF/ST
Darren Sproles SD RB
Chris Chambers KC WR
Todd Heap Bal TE
Darrius Heyward-Bey Oak WR
Lawrence Tynes NYG K
Kevin Smith Det RB
Shawn Nelson Buf TE
Tennessee DEF/ST
Billy Cundiff Bal K
Do you have to pwn at EVERYTHING ?!? It's getting pretty disgusting Darryl . . .
It was like a domino. Everyone started taking kickers - Im a lemming.
Only Ryan, Orton, Favre (?) were decent behind. Loaded up on Backs and wideouts in the early rounds.
Who are you starting @ QB? I kinda like Kolb there. Since its a 1 RB 2 flex league you should be OK.
Roddy needs to start strong, unlike last year.
Also - Deangelo Williams went like 24th! How does that happen - he went 6th overall in our league.
A wise man once told me, "Start runs, don't follow them".
Good pick then, I like Favre (obv) and Ryan but all 3 should be fairly close in numbers. Flacco would be safest/best choice in my books too.
Probably Kolb 60% of the time. Will play match-ups when I know both are healthy. Basically knew Favre was going to go higher than Kolb and had a good idea when I could get both. Obv drafted before anyone knew Favre was getting injections in his ankle.
I have no idea, although in our league TE's get 1 pt per catch and WR's get 1 pt per 15 yards received as opposed to 1 pt per 20 yards rushed for RB's. Really spreads out the value more but people went TE, QB and WR nuts this year. I was shocked and elated when DeAngelo fell to 27th.
Yea I got Jackson @ 23 which I was happy about if hes healthy.
Whenever someone drops like that I think - what do they know that I dont.
But whatever, some dude took Eli Manning 9th overall.
Starting Stafford, Celek over Flacco, Boldin this week. Need to take some risks this year. Plus mf Revis is back for Monday night - FML.
my league, Peyton Manning went 1st overall.....it was then I realized, I wouldn't finish last
QB - Brett Favre, MIN
QB - Vince Yonug, TEN
RB - Ray Rice, BAL
RB - Rashard Mendenhall, PIT
RB - Darren Sproles, SD
RB - Thomas Jones, KC
RB - Jamaal Charles, KC
WR - Kevin Walter, HOU
WR - Pierre Garcon, IND
WR - Hines Ward, PIT
WR - Mario Manningham, MYG
TE - Vernon Davis, SF
TE - Todd Heap, BAL
K - Garrett Hartley, NO
DEF - MIN
DEF - DET
No, that's no a typo, I picked up the Lions D because I had no faith in the Vikings vs. the Saints in the opener. Turned out I made the right choice as the Lions got me 13 and the Vikes only got 2 points and would have cost me the win in my opener.
Here's my queries for now: who do I start at TE? Davis is up against the Saints, who seem unable to defend good TE's, but Heap is against a weak NE secondary and is a reliable target. I'm leaning towards Davis as he'll get more red zone looks.
I need to dump some RB's, I'm thinking two, so Sproles is one and one of the KC guys will be the other: which KC guy?
I'm in a 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1WR/RB, 1K, 1DEF league.
I was quite happy after drafting Kolb and Favre....now I'm sitting on an "F"ing QBBC with Favre, Freeman and Fitzpatrick.
I guess everyone else in the league weren't idiots for letting DeAngelo Williams drop to the bottom of the second round.
Who'da thunk Roddy White would be my third best WR?
Since draft day have dropped Sproles for Peyton Hillis, Chambers for Mike Williams (Sea), Kolb for Fitzpatrick, Heyward-Bey for Robert Meacham and Maroney for Ryan Torain all a week before they really broke out.....Nostradamus itmf.
I figure I have the week locked and he puts up 40 in the first quarter.
Some highlights and lowlights.
My kickers are saving my ass
Calvin Johnson is a beast.
Favre and his fucking ego always throw for picks in the red zone instead of handing off to the leagues best back.
Flacco is a #1 QB.
Tim Tebow has more goalling touchdowns than Moreno.
Picked up other starting WR on waivers and theyre killing it: Brandon LLoyd, Mike Williams (TB).
Braylon Edwards is a points whore.
I just got home after watching my playoff life flash before my eyes.
After Sunday aft games I had a crazy 89-16 lead over my opponent. He has Patriot TE Gronkowski and Vick left to play. Game ends 89-88.
Just ditched Favre last week.....my fate now rests in the hands of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Freeman.
you are in good hands. I like both guys but especially Josh Freeman.
Prophet 22
I like Freeman too, even more in non-fantasy football. Seems like a real leader. I'm a Bucs fan, going down to watch him Dec. 5th hopefully for the NFC South division lead.
Anyway, trade deadline last night and my team has a new look...
QB - Carson Palmer, Josh Freeman
RB - Chris Johnson, Peyton Hillis, Darren McFadden, Mike Goodson
WR - Roddy White, Hakeem Nicks, Vincent Jackson, Brandon Gibson
TE - Jermaine Gresham, Tony Moeaki, Andrew Quarless (really need 1 to step up)
K - Lawrence Tynes, Josh Scobee
D/ST - Titans, Redskins
After being in first place by week 13, my team - EVERY FUCKING PLAYER - shit the bed for the last 3 weeks.
I think Im gonna finish around 5th.
fml.
Discuss!
Rice RB
A Johnson WR
V Jackson WR
S Jackson RB
Forte RB
Schaub QB
Boldin WR
Benson RB
S Moss WR
Kolb QB
Packers DST
Edwards WR
Carpenter K
Newton QB
Akers K
Cowboys DST
Flex: Tomlinson RB
Holy shit! Nice top 3. Those guys all went in the first 18 picks of our draft (it is slightly weighted WR heavy). Rice will be huge with McGahee gone. Love the Schaub/Johnson combo. Expect Forte to have a big season. SJax ahould be solid although I think they will rely more on the pass. Meh on Benson, Moss and Edwards but it's not like their essential pieces. I've got the same defenses and I am thrilled.
How many teams in this league?
We drafted yesterday....14 team league.
QB's - Cassell, Fitzpatrick, Smith (yech)
RB's - McFadden, Blount, Jacobs, Tolbert, Torain
WR's - Nicks, Williams (TB), Britt, Gibson
TE's - Kendricks, Moore (looks yech but I have hiiigh hopes)
K's - Bryant, Longwell
D/ST - Green Bay, Dallas
Have a 12 team auction draft tonight. First time for that.
QB = Most over rated position in fantasy football.
I agree! Aside from the elite 4/5 qbs everyone else is the same and theres no point wasting a 2/3 rounder when you can get the same in the 6/7.
This is a 10 team league, I had the 4th pick.
Youre gonna have to rely on Cassell which "should" be fine. Blount is a stud, and I think both Jacobs and Torain will be starters by the end of year.
Nice pick with Kendricks.
May have to get some waiver on for WR depth. Im not sold on Britt as a #1.
RB - Foster, McCoy, Felix Jones, Stewart (CAR)
WR - Wayne, Wallace, Edwards, Rice
TE - Graham, Gonzalez, Lewis
D - Rolle, Smith (TEN)
K - Akers, Kaeding, Henery
Team Defence - Baltimore
uhmmm...a little heavy in the kicker department?
QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, Flex, K, Team D
1. (12) Ray Rice (Bal - RB)
2. (13) Darren McFadden (Oak - RB)
3. (36) Vincent Jackson (SD - WR)
4. (37) Brandon Marshall (Mia - WR)
5. (60) Eli Manning (NYG - QB)
6. (61) Jeremy Maclin (Phi - WR)
7. (84) Sam Bradford (StL - QB)
8. (85) Joseph Addai (Ind - RB)
9. (108) Jonathan Stewart (Car - RB)
10. (109) Marcedes Lewis (Jac - TE)
11. (132) Steve Smith (Car - WR)
12. (133) Mark Sanchez (NYJ - QB)
13. (156) Josh Brown (StL - K)
14. (157) San Francisco (SF - DEF)
15. (180) Tim Tebow
Ignore the Tebow pick as I had the first round 14 and last round 15 so I just put about 10 guys on queue and left (since each guy was taking the full 90 seconds to draft pretty much). He will be the guy that I stream for off-week/matchups.
