proper ruling?

Ok, very strange spot...unsure of the proper course of action.

Self dealing game, and a card is flipped to a player mid deal...no biggie...when it comes back to the dealer giving the player his new card he flipped that one as well.

How do we proceed? I can't say I have read a ruling on this?

  • What we used to do in our games was pre-deal the flop face down and give the player the next burn card.

I don't know the official rules on this, but I'd assume it's a misdeal. In a friendly self dealt game, the above method works nicely to keep the game moving along quickly.
  • Yeah, I went with misdeal...but again..I just can't recall the situation brought up in any rules...
  • Two cards exposed during the deal = misdeal. RRoP.
  • I think it's a mis-deal...

When did Metro start coming to your games?

A player exposing cards likely won't get a misdeal, but give it a try at Fallsview! You never know!
  • I mainly play online poker, but I'd definitely say two shown cards is a misdeal.
  • misdeal, as said above, 1 card exposed and the player gets a new card, 2 exposed and it's a misdeal. also if 1 of the first 2 cards when dealing is exposed it's also a misdeal if i remember correctly.
