Selling off my extra Aztar Chips
I've posted these on EBay already, but thought I would give forum members a crack at them as well.
First item, 300pc total of $5 Aztar Casino poker chips. These chips are PRIMARY and show some wear on them, but are are good condition. Some will stand on their edge. Price is currently $40 per 100pc, without rack, plus shipping.

Second item: 50 $100 Casino Aztar poker chips. These chips are SECONDARY and are in MINT condition. Every chip will stand on edge easily. Price is $50 for all 50 chips, rack not included, plus shipping.

Something to tide you over. I hope you went with the secondaries because I'm loving how there is yellow in every chip but the $1 and the $1 and the .50 share the pink anyways. Killer set!!!!

That's about right. Original set was about $340 I think for 1000pc. Never going to use 600 $5 though, and you were correct in saying I would never use 100 $100 either, so figured I would get some money back on those. Total sales would be $170, so that would make the set about $170. Then I bought a rack of $1's from you for about $70 wasn't it?? And ordered a rack of 100 $.50 Presidents for another $80 or so, so add $150 or so. Basically, got a complete cash game set for about $330 to $340 ^-^ Oh, and a Dealer Button, add another few $$
Yes, secondaries. Just like the looks of them more than the primaries, but don't ask me why. Couldn't tell you, they just LOOK nicer.
Nice set Moose! Did you get everything you wanted? I think you said you didn't get everything once, but this looks complete to me.
BTW...what's your opinion on the roulettes? Considering them for a deepstack tourney set maybe.
The secondaries were $120, primaries $75. You sure on what you got? In the pic above I have the secondary in line with the rest of the Aztars, with the primary sitting slightly above.
As I said I've dealt the $500s away for something better. Almost eight racks in the above picture, you can expect that to about double in a week or so.
It's a really rare opportunity because: the chips are mint, there are lots in most denominations, it's the best Paulson mold, (except for the $1s and roulettes, which are on a slightly different mold), the inlays are textured (which I prefer), the colours are all great (the $25 is maybe the worst, but it's still pretty good, the hundo is just AMAZING, the $500 looks even better in person), and the inlays are all shaped.
Put the $1s and roulettes on the SCV mold instead of RHC, put nicer colours on the $25, make more $500s and add some $1000s and this would be the dream chip set. As it is, it's pretty close. IMHO the perfect set doesn't exist, though the Ritz chips (except for the cost) are pretty much there and Ritz are tourney chips only, there are no cash chips.
Bad thing is, I've run out of Paulson racks again. ???
When the next box comes, you will see. I ordered a sample set of what was left (there is isn't much in the mint ones), 85 pinkish ones, and 85 greyish ones. They will be my $1k and $5k chips for my improved, larger set.
Most of the cash chips I bought for parts of my other cash sets. Pics shortly.
Still waiting on my $.50 Presidents. I was only a day late to order...they SHOULD be in soon. :-\

Yeah those hundos went lightning quick and it was a fair price. Certainly not underpriced. But the more you deal in this chip aquiring game the more you realize if you see it and you want you buy it with no regrets. By the time you wait around for a better deal/better chip the opportunity never seems to come again.
As it was, you barely beat out that guy for your Aztar set. If you had hesitated at all for even an hour, they would have been gone.
Hence my Presidents insanity.
I'll bring your chips with me to Buzzard's on Saturday. $40 each, racks NOT included. I'll wrap them up as best I can for you.
