Game #2 - 2011 WSOP Satellite To A $1500 or $1000 Event (in Bolton)

Saturday Sept. 11th - 7:00pm

Our first game had a great turnout (22 people). It would be awesome to see some PFC people out to these!! If you want to play either post here or sign up at the following website Orangeville Poker Tour (OPT) (Orangeville, ON) - Meetup.com

YOU HAVE UNTIL 4PM THE DAY OF EVENT TO RESERVE YOUR SEAT.
This will be a satellite for The 2011 World Series of Poker for a $1500 or $1000 Event
MINIMUM of 10 players needed to make these tournaments happen. Someone will win a seat to either one of the $1000 WSOP Events or $1500 WSOP Events, depending on the number of players in the satellite.
Here is your chance to go to The 2011 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas for $150 US Dollars
Rules for this tournament; The usual rules that we have been following for all Orangeville Poker Tour Events in addition to the following;
1. Tournament is in US Dollars since you are winning your buyin into a US Tournament.
2. The goal is to get 18 players to be able to give away a $1500 seat plus $1000 for expenses. This can be adjusted depending on how many players show up. In other words we can offer a $1000 seat instead.
3. The following payout structure is based on 18 players 1st - $2500, ($1500 will be held back for the tournament buy-in) the rest of the payout structure will be dictated by how many players come out, with 20 players 2nd place will get $500. There was 15 no limit events at the 2010 WSOP. Once the schedule is released for the 2011 WSOP, winners will be emailed and get to choose which $1500 event they want to play. Then we will pre-register each winner for the event that they choose. The WSOP usually runs from the end of May to the beginning of July.
4. This is an equity tournament. Any winnings (only that after 30% tax is taken. $5000 and up gets taxed) from the WSOP tournament will be divided amongst the players that were in that particular satellite tournament. 85% to the winning player in the WSOP, the remaining 15% divided evenly amongst the players from that tourney.

    Hello AJ?

    Wha? :-\

I'm seriously considering it, but I have to wait and see what happens in the family unit first. Can you put me down as tentative and I'll confirm later??
  • No Problem AJ

  • Good game all. Who eventually won the seat?

Just wasn't my night. Enough bad beats and coolers to suck the life right out of a full grown man. Still, enjoyed my short time and looking forward to the next one I can attend. Just hope there's a few more players.
  • Pudge took it down

Excited for him. It will be his first time going to Vegas and he will get to experience the WSOP
  • 2 for 2 in solid horses winning these things for the rest of the field.

    SWEET! Greg...you owe me $10 :D

Good game to you both. Figured Steve had it in the bag the way the deck smacked him in the face. Good for Pudge though, enjoy your Vegas adventure!

hard to believe there were satellites back in Sept. 10 for a June 11 tournament. Everyone in attendance probably forgot about it by now. Its like entering a lottery and getting a call six months later that you won.

Are you going to take your winnings and freeroll in the WSOP this year?
  • If he decides to play the Main Event, I will certainly back a percentage!
  • Pudge made me a small fortune, between my 15% piece that i share with the players, and the straight 10% i had of him, i'm good to make roughly 55K-56K off this. I imagine his roll right now really doesn't need any backing, but i'll put money on him any day of the week.
  • I also imagine that this should create some great interest for future OPT sattys.

True, but there is a reason why even the pros back one another. Stretches your own bankroll and offers you more variance control. Not to mention the heaps of praise from peers when you can share you good fortune ;)

Can't wait for the next one. Even if/when I lose, I just might win big!

I think we'll have them lined up as far as the eye can see to get in on them now. :)
