Turning 40!!!!!
On Jan. 26th I’ll be turning 40 years old!!
This is frighteningly only six months away, so let the planning begin.
I'm planning on celebrating/mourning it by spending a few days in Vegas.
This is an open invitation to anyone who wants to come along to help celebrate the death of the my 30's.
The dates that I’m thinking are around Jan. 20-23 or Feb. 3-6. (My youngest daughter’s birthday is Jan. 28th, and my Oldest is Feb. 9th, so I want to be home for those dates).
I haven't booked anything yet, I’m waiting to see what kind of room rates I can get from Harrah's. I'm thinking about staying at PH. I've never stayed there before, but I think I’ll give it a try. (Usually stay at Rio, Caesars, or Harrah’s).
If you consider yourself a friend and want to join in the celebration, or are just looking for an excuse to tell the wife why you need to go to Vegas, post here if interested in joining.

Actually just checked Spirit Air out of Detroit and I can get that same price in Feb.
I'm leaning towards the Feb date myself.
Could do 3rd week in Feb (includes family day so only 4 days off work).
I think i'm going to go with the first week/weekend in Feb. I want to try to keep the date as close as possible to my B-day as i can. Hopefully the people who have already responded are good with early Feb.
Like i mentioned i'll be staying at a Harrah's Hotel, more then likely PH. (Curious to check it out, nicely located on the strip) The plan is simple... This is where i'll be the first week of Feb. mourning the passing of my 30's. Drinking lots, gambling lots, checking out woman lots. Gawking at hot 21 year olds, that are now practically half my age. (i'm getting depressed just thinking about it).
If you want to join me, book a flight, get a room, meet me there. Once i have exact dates i'll let everyone know.

For sure, but, if I remember right, there was a problem after the fact with Pokerstars being affiliated with a casino in Nevada......so there may be problems with NAPT going back to Vegas.:bs:
Apologies for derailing....but, either way, Venetian deepstack during the trip is clearly a big plus.
Fortunately I'll still be one of the young pups 2 years away from the dreaded 40 when this rolls around.

So for 2011 in February you will probably see it scheduled anywhere from January 28 to February 23
If the 3 to 6 doesn't work after the deepstack schedule is released I propose the 17 to 20 this will most likely be at the tail end of the deepstack series
Also my bday is on February 27. May not be turning 40 but I will be close lol
I know, I was just hoping to drag as many down with me as possible in the realization that i too will be passing through that gate myself.
Lets see the dates for the deepstack. I'm sure if I go into mid life crisis mode the wife surely can't say no.
