1D is done - Bagged 10,000 Chips!
So, I made it to Day 2. Yeah Me!!! Just as in Montreal I made day 2, but with a very short stack, in this case 10,000 Chips (We started with 30K).
So, I am very happy to make Day 2, but I'll need some early double ups to stay alive. The blinds are 200 / 400 with a 50 ante, so I have 25 Big Blinds. That's enough to play a little bit, but not very comfortable. Still many big names, Phil Helmouth included, did not make day 2.
My table was Tight-Aggressive, and I was able to steal from the guys on my left. Guy on my right (Frank Kassela) is point leader for WSOP Player of the Year. He has two bracelets and five cashes this year for earnings of $1.2 Million. He makes it tough on me and he was our table chip leader with 86,000 at end of Day 1. (I did win my biggest pot of 16K off of him earlier in the long 10 hour session.) He won't be on the next table, but many more tough, good, players will be.
So, I now play Day 2 on Saturday and hopefully, as happened in Montreal, I'll double up early and survive to fight another day. Top 747 get paid out of the 7319 entrants and my next goal is to get at least a cash!
