Poker in and around Montreal
Hi people, hope everyone's well.
So here's how it is:
Am arriving in Montreal (Brossard to be precise!) on the 9th July from sunny England. My partner is Canadian and we fly out two - three times a year to visit her parents etc.
Last summer was my first time in Canada and I only played at the main casino, which I absolutely loved, but would much prefer some tournament play.
I've had a brief look about online and seen Snakes, Metropolitan Poker League and Four Aces.
I'm just looking for some general recommendations really, where the action is and where the numbers are good. Nothing major like £/$1000 buy-ins, just around the $50/$60/$70 mark will be fine.
Look forward to speaking to you all.
Cheers,
Grant

Yeah the Four Aces website looks good, pretty smart club.
Is it advisable to go onto the reserves to play poker though? I have no problem with it personally, just don't want to be breaking any laws, or head to these places if they're not totally safe!
I wouldn't go
As for security, there has never been an incident here at Four Aces, and we take our security VERY seriously.
Starting July 28th, we are going to begin our Four Aces Open. All details will be posted on our website starting next week. It will be 7 days of tournaments, all varieties of poker at all buy-ins from $65 all the way up to our $2500 main event.
Check out our site next week at www.fouracespoker.ca

That being said, Playground is a really great room and the whole experience is better - good food, drinks at the tables, lots of action, etc. If you're interesting in playing in tournaments, both Snakes and Playground run very good tournaments every night.
