  • hang in there DJ!!
  • That was friggin weak. Calls that with low pair and hits trip 5's to kill my kings.

Santa, get your ass in gear. :)
  • That was a tough one to take, DJ. Shake it off, play premimum, and get back in it. :D
  • Remember what Magi said ... if you have chips, you have a chance.

    Stay focussed.

good time to do that, but stay patient.

  • way to get back DJ

great call with QQ, altough i wouldve hit call in an instant
  • Santa, I need help. Egg nog later.
  • Good game, tough luck. Been there before with AQ vs. AA all in, nothing much you can do when you're short like that though.

    stp
  • You suck santa. lol Out in 31st. Chips paid to 9.
  • Sorry man ... well played.

Kinda like the Brantford tourney ended for me ... KK vs. AA ... you had to think AQ was a good spot.

All in all, a great job ... you'll get there, don't think otherwise!! :)

  • Thanks for the support guys. It was a fun 4 hours. :)

Or to put it another way, I last 3 hours longer than Tom McEvoy. lol
Thanks mac. All in all, a fun Christmas present.

And to answer my own question, I got about 170 fpp's for that.
  • Sorry to see you out DJ. I really expected to see you going strong still. You played very well, for what I had seen. Still, 31st is a good finish in my book. Someday, I hope to be up to your level of play. Nicely done. :)
  • Thanks. Some day I hope to be up to my level of play.

To be honest. I'm glad it's done. The suspense was killing me. lol
  • My turn to take a shot ...

Playing the 500 FPP tourney, for one of 4 entries to Sunday's $500 tourney.

Won a big hand early, just lost one ... now an average sized stack 20 minutes in.

    Wish me luck!! :)

  • It was not to be ...

    Finished 47th out of 232 ...

Went all-in short stacked ... doubling up would have given me an average stack, and a chance ... took on the table chip leader ... KK vs. A7o all-in preflop ... Ace hit the river, and my night was done.

Thanks for the moral support, magi.

  • Good showing still the same macbb. Good job.
    :)
  • Sorry I couldn't watch mac. Good showing though. But Santa must have been drunk yesterday. :)
  • DJP,

I totally feel for you! After busting out of the same Saturday tourney a few weeks ago, I felt like never playing again. In fact I still haven't fully recovered. I've come soooooo close to making the WPT in the Bahamas, and the WPT at foxwoods, it's really starting to suck.

You did very well, and were playing some of the top players -- the same players you'd face at the event. I believe Dan Harrington was at your table (rumoured to be Pickeled Egg). EDOGEN (can't remember who that is), Dblgutshot (rumoured to be Howard Lederer) and many other big names. You held your own, and if you would have caught a couple of lucky breaks, well, who knows.

If I were you, I would get a hand replayer and replay your tourney. See if you can make some changes, and watch how others like Dblgutshot and Pickeled Egg played.

    Cheers

  • Thanks for the boost magi. I felt pretty good about most of my plays. (one that haunts me was chasing an open straight to the river that never hit) Monkey man had me on that hand. lol Good advice on replaying the hands.

Any suggestions on which replayer(s) to use. Never tried one yet.
  • I use the replayer in pokertracker. I think it may even be availble in the demo. Awesome program and I would highly recommend using it in general. The replayer isn't the greatest in the program, but it's a really nice integrated package.

    Cheers

  • I'll give it a try thanks. I do remember some posts about it on here before. lol Maybe I should have paid attention to them. :)

    EDOGEN is erik lindgren
  • Ok finally got pokertracker working. lol Had trouble importing emails, until I configured it for pop3 instead and got them directly from the server. (it had trouble reading them in the email program)

That program is scary. It's like being there all over again. lol Found a few weak plays made early, and a few later on too. But I do like how some of the plays went down. Need to study it some more though. Might have to start using this puppy regularly. lol Thanks for mentioning it magi. Seems like a pretty cool program. Guess I should have grabbed it sooner. :)
