Second time in a week ...

Cam and his family and I made it to the Falls safely and little traffic. After walking down to the falls for a little bit then coming back for a swim and then dinner, all you can eat 16.00, including baby back ribs, I ate about 4lbs. ( I know a little light, but I didn’t know we eating so soon and I had a double quarter with cheese meal and jr chicken at 2:00pm)

Anyways the girls go shopping and Cam and I head to the casino. The plan was to play 1/2 we had 1k between us. The line was 2 long so we sat down at a 5 hand 5/5 table.

It is going ok, an hour in and I am up 100.00.

And in the BB with 87 off and a button raise to 10.00 with about 850.00 back. I call and thinks I can see a flop for an extra 5.00. The flop comes K 8 7 rainbow. I lead out with a 15.00 bet he comes over the top 125.00. I say make it 250.00 he calls. The turn is an 8 bring 2 hearts on board. Now obviously I am not afraid of the flush seeing as I have the second nuts.

What is the play. He has me covered. Scroll down to find out what happened

Because he flat called I thought he might have AK was looking for another K or an A. I didn’t put him on KK. He might have had AA QQ JJ but it really seemed like AK. When the turn is an 8, the only hand I have to be afraid of is KK and if he has that I go busto and am done the first night. So how do get all his chips and can I find out if he does have KK. I decide to push and get insta called. I ask if he has KK he says no so I flip may hand over and show him the nuts. He starts shaking his head saying that it was a cold deck. I say what do you have, he goes I have outs, I say lets see. He says no and asks the dealer to deal. Frustrated I turn to watch the dealer burn and turn the river. It is a harmless 9 I turn to him he stands and yells that is how you play poker and turns over an 8 9 off.

I am completely stunned.

I stand up, Cam says tray colour up and we leave for a late swim before going to bed.

Well at least we can use his roll for some Black Jack tomorrow night

  • cooler...I had this happen to me for 6 weeks straight once.

this is why you have a 50+bi bankroll, right?

    How is Cam doing?
  • Yep those are sickening for sure, it sure seems to happen a lot there, wonder what there rng is? :) In all seriousness though, and I know we all say it enough, if this is happening to you regularily, it means you're playing well to be getting it in good so often... still sucks tho... And yeh, how is Cam and family doing?
  • One of the worst I have heard of. The worst by far is at wsop, I think in 2008.

4 aces loses to a royal Flush -

its on you tube I think - the guy who loses with quad aces nearly faints as he leaves
  • thats pretty gross. At least you knew it was time to leave. Better luck next time!
