Lets go for that flush!
I had a hand at a $2/5 NL game at Fallsview a few weeks back that cost me dearly 'cause of a donkey.
I bet pre-flop in middle position after an early limper. Got two callers after me and the limper followed.
FLOP - J, 7, 3 rainbow.
Bet 1/2 the pot ($45) with my trip 3s and got the late callers out, but the limper bumps it to $145. This pot-commits him, and pretty much does the same to me if I call. I call, because he wouldn't have limped with J-J, and probably wouldn't have called with 7-7.
TURN - a 2 of diamonds. Check, check. (My mistake. I should have bet, but I don't know that it would have mattered.)
RIVER - another junky diamond. He bet all-in and I called the extra $40 or so and he flips 8-6 of diamonds.
When he committed himself to the pot, he had a 3 diamonds and 3 cards to a straight that add up a 7% chance.:bs:
