Severe Weather
Soooo Lasr night I am sitting here trying to work out the details of putting together a back yard tourney and listening to the news on the radio.
My Brother-in-Law owns a cottage in the Kawarthas. ( Central Ont )
Environment Canada Issued a Red Alert as a strong storm cell was moving over the area. This was apparently the same cell that dropped in on Midland an hour earlier and spawned an F-2 Tornado that tore through the Trailer park on King ST.
I begin to wonder if God has something against people who live in mobile homes. It seems that every time a tornado hits it's usually a trailer park that gets the worst of it.
I also looked back to last year when an F-1 went right by Comps house. Supper time as we had just sat down to a pasta dinner the Walking Boss prepared. I watched from our bedroom window.
It also brought me back to May 1985 when I lived in Barrie and sitting in my truck watched the F-3 sweep across the top of Allendale Heights on the other side of kempenfelt Bay.
You just can't believe the destuction. It was like a bomb went off.
Safest place to be during a Tornado. Basement under the staircase.
It's the strongest part of the house.
