Did I Play This Wrong?

Something felt weird, not sure, but put him on the one hand to beat me. Just didn't feel like I could fold when only 1 (technically 3) hand beats me.

  • i think a defensive bet on the river smaller than 2 bux where you lay down to his re raise knowing he can't re raise with a jh. this way you get value from a weak call as well.
  • With how passively the fish played that hand there, I don't think I fold 3rd nuts. Plus the price he sets on the river is fine with me. I am not 100% happy calling as the Ah is well within his range, but I think I call here and make a note on fish playing the nuts passively.

I am also fine with a b/f of about 1/2 pot as there is no hand in his range you are beating when raised.

Personally, the villain played his hand pretty badly as he could've made a lot more 3betting pre with position, raising that flop (as you probably aren't folding to a flop bet) and maybe even calling a large turn bet. A river bet from villain is probably a fold though if it is barrelled down. The put is probably ballooned to $12 or so bucks if played more aggresively.
