Prepaid Credit Cards online?

Hi I am new to online poker, but would like to try it out. I don't currently have a credit card right now, and don't want to wait 2-3 weeks for a poker site to verify my bank account, so I was thinking maybe I could buy a prepaid credit card from a store and use it online? Will that work and has anyone tried it?

    Yes, prepaid visa and vanilla mastercard both work.
