WSOP constuctive criticism

With the WSOP officially upon us, i'll be heading down for events #11 & #57, i'm looking for constructive criticism from those who have played with me either live or online.

Feel free to tear my game apart in a constructive way.

  • Win flips.
  • Wear a hoodie, or a hat. Steves probably told you about this one.
  • You're an aggressive player that spots dead money in the pot quickly, and you capitalize on these situations whenever you can. I think you get married to flops a bit too quickly though, and often don't consider all the range of your opponent.

If you get short stacked, don't give up too soon. I know its harder in a game like mine, where being short often only gives you two options, but with the blinds at the WSOP, you have plenty of time to bounce back up.

Just what I've noticed the few times we've played. Take it for what its worth. Never played the levels you and Steve have, so I could most likely be talking out of my arse here.

Oh, and you can't go wrong with a good pair of sunglasses. Just ask Keith.

thanks AJ, this is exactly the kind of info i'm looking for.

If you have faith in your game enough to buy into the WSOP, now is not the time to be tweaking it. It will make you uncomfortable, and drain confidence.

I say stick with what brought you to the dance, and if you don't think that's good enough, you shouldn't be playing the WSOP yet.

Not saying i don't have faith in my game. I've moneyed in the WSOP for the last two years, i know my game is good enough to be there. Every decent player knows that there is always room to improve and learn.
