WTF Sportsnet?

So I finally decide I can't stand listening to Buck Martinez drone on, overcall the game as if he was on the radio and fight with Pat Tabler over providing colour commentary when he should be sticking to play by play. So I put on the radio to hear Howarth and Ashby but Sportsnet is on a 3 second delay over live. WTF!!!!

Another sweet comeback win by the Jays though.

I haven't watched many games this year for various reasons (been to one though), so I can't comment too much on Buck but I have to say, I really liked Jamie Campbell and Rance. At the same time, I LOVE Ashby and Howarth and would love to be able to have them in synch with the tube.

Ok the Jays announce that all Blue Jays games are on Sportsnet now but I get 4 Sportsnet channels and the Jays game IS NOT ON.

Well I found the sportsnet alternate channel. Didn't have it programmed on my satellite receiver. I think it was to my detriment, because I've watched seven innings without listening to one word by Martinez and Mulliniks. What a cure for insomnia. Brutal. At least put these guys on day games, not late West Coast games.

My god. Did Martinez suffer some sort of brain injury recently? This guy should be an experienced announcer. Someone obv told him to wake up and call the game with some excitement but now Martinez has gone to far. His phantom home run call on Overbay in the 6th was hilarious.

I am sure Rogers would happily switch your service over to theirs, for a fee, and thus you could purchase the channel.

I wish the CRTC would stop mandating what channels "have" to appear on Basic Cable. That way, you might see set-ups like a Basic package gets 20 channels + 20 of your choice. The mid-line would be 30+30, etc.

Right now our TV hits approx. 12 channels with regularity, and maybe an additional 12 - 15 on the side for one or two shows a week.

But we are not allowed to choose what we want as our overlords know better. Just look at the credits of some of the crap shows on these niche channels and applaud your tax dollars at work.

Awesome. Currently, Jays on Sportsnet one. The regional networks are showing 3 different poker shows and Sportsnet Connected. Good thing the new station came along to free up the regional networks to show that kind of local programming.
