Here is your chance to go to The 2010 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas for $150 US Dollars.
Rules for this tournament; The usual rules that we have been following for all Orangeville Poker Tour Events in addition to the following;
1. Tournament is in US Dollars since you are winning your buyin into a US Tournament.
2. The goal is to get 18 players to be able to give away a $1500 seat plus $1000 for expenses. This can be adjusted depending on how many players show up. Also with The WSOP scheduling six $1000 dollar events we can give away a seat to one of the $1000 events instead.
3. The following payout structure is based on 18 players 1st - $2500, ($1500 will be held back for the tournament buy-in) the rest of the payout structure will be dictated by how many players come out, with 20 players 2nd place will get $500. There was 9 no limit events at the 2009 WSOP. Once the schedule is released for the 2010 WSOP, winners will be emailed and get to choose which $1500 event they want to play. Then we will pre-register each winner for the event that they choose. The WSOP usually runs from the end of May to the beginning of July.
4. This is an equity tournament. Any winnings (only that after 30% tax is taken. $5000 and up gets taxed) from the WSOP tournament will be divided amongst the players that were in that particular satellite tournament. 75% to the winning player in the WSOP, the remaining 25% divided evenly amongst the players from that tourney.

Comments
Still seats available if you want to play
Just spit-balling, no real info. I have thought about taking a shot, but have not come up with a valid reason to set fire to the buy-in, but that is just me . . . :-X
All valid points, however where are the players that can afford, and do want to play in the WSOP. This is the part that baffles me.
If you want to your shot Milo you know that we would love to have you.
2) Equity part
Lazy?? it's all highway drive
What do you dislike about the equity part? When Steve and i first set this up, i thought equity part might actually draw more players out.
Edited for accuracy. Thanks, Greg, but I am all too cognizant of my poker skillz.
Basically these two...plus my weekends are usually pretty packed already with sports leagues/tournaments.
Bolton / Orangeville just sounds further than it probably is (from Markham)
Regarding the equity part, i'm just greedy and want the whole thing. I don't mind swapping %s once in a while but i'm just not into the giving away %s of yourself.
This is a pretty good way to win your way to Vegas for The WSOP.
Just pm me or post and I will send you the address
That will get you a $1500 event seat plus $600 for hotel and flight
