I tried watching the 2008 5k HU event on that site but the videos are not working..tried at both my work and at home..working for anyone else?
  • The 5k footage is down for a bit, but there will be new footage added at a later date as well. Sorry about the interuption, bu this was the beta test and the player wasn't the best, soltions are being worked on. The Canadian Poker Player (.tv) site is on hold while we develop the Canadian Poker Tour site and it is literally being worked on almost around the clock. The events and news are priority. There will be a third site added,Canadian Poker Player .com rather than .TV which will be the magazine. The sites can be linked too each other but any direct online site affiliation to the tour is not permitted by gaming regulations, hence the different names and sites. The way the links here are posting make it difficult to see the full description, but hopefully this helps.
  • if you're going to spam the forum at least make sure your site works first
  • You always brighten my day GTA....like a little ray of sunshine fighting it's way through a bunch of dark clouds.....

  • So it's clear, for every "spammy" thread I have started here, I have linked back to hand disscusions here or event postings here or polls here. I try to give back as much as I take. I recently plugged Pokerforum.ca in an article for Poker Pro Canada in an effort to give back and even though I work for the CPT, I don't mind contributing to anything that promotes Canadian players and poker. In another article for Canadian Poker Player Magzine, I plugged a PokerForum.ca user, I had The Poker Atlas banner back here on the event schedules to the disscusions. I don't always have time to write analysis threads but I always keep in mind forum growth...taking care of those who take care of me and the goals. Some members said they liked being in the loop.
The good news is the community/forums are also live at the CPT site now. I will keep the links minimal here, but I will contribute to theads and hey link back to relevent discusions here. Because I like the people here. Of the 25 or so forums I belong to, the few I administer and the blog sites, this is where I write my most non-spam or am sure to copy paste to if Ifind a thread is well recieved as a minimum.
Funny thing is, out of all those people I run into in cyberspace, I run into maybe one in 1000 that I just can't please. Not naming any names......

PS. Before I post a single thread of "spam" on any forum, I have always checked with the administrator and asked, telling them my intentions and I follow up once in awhile to be sure I am not pushing any boundries. Most think that a) live events and anything that keeps players informed of live events is great and b) the SEO trade offs are good for the forum. Especially since I come back regularly to try to answer questions and don't just drop my kids on the porch.
  • You're fine Jon, don't mind the local yokels...:)
  • GTA is just a prick with his head up his ass half the time; he has never placed in any tournament, apparently is a regular 5/10 player, who's biggest cash is like $1k. He talks the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk.... you get my point. I don't mind Sirwatts, Blondefish, etc. dishing my play, as they have actual results, but this guy he just gets off on it. Pretty pathetic IMO.

I appreciate your posts as its good to know about these Canadian poker happenings.

There's no regular 5/10 around here. I am a regular 2/5 player and my biggest cash is around 2-2.5k. I will easily wager that I have made more money playing poker each of the past 5 years than you have. What's your point?
  • And people think Kristy and I are bad? Sheeeeesh . . .

get a room you two, and a camera . . . then put the results on youporn for all the civil servants to look at while they're at their desks.
  • Jah and GTA, please quit cluttering up others threads with your posturing.. It is NOT appreciated... Only warning...
