Final Table Retarded AK spot

So after this hand was over I was like meh cooler.

But the more I thought about it the more I think this may be a fold. And the more I think he shows up with the absolute bottom of his range. In other words, I think I was lucky to be flipping.

Villain is one of the best online players in the world.

How often does he not have JJ+ here.

  • It's tough because there is a raise, then you re-raise...I don't think he is squeezing light there often....because he knows one of you is calling. I think he is more scared of your 4r-bet (looks like JJ+), so I think he was happy to see you flip over AK. I still get it in there as well...I think if it is just heads up he would have played JJ differently which would lead me to fold AK in certain spots...
  • ..Isn't this still at least pretty close to a call even with that range?

Its like 40/60 against with exactly that range. Add in the equity of the original raiser and we're pretty close to flipping in equity terms.

If it was some random Absolutely I get it in, cause a rando chipleader will spew AQ/88+, sometimes AJ there.

Also I didnt win the flip so it bothers me more.

    /rant.
  • I think maybe you could add aks in there no? it seems to be a fold to me, but is there anyway there's too much money on the table to fold?
  • The skype vote is in, it is unanimously a call.. and they think your time would be better spent beating yourself off than beating yourself up.
  • Yeah, all factors considered, you can't fold here imo
  • In early position with a raise in front of me and no previous information on the other players I would fold or smooth call the original raiser, not only is there the rest of the table left to act but likely with AK and 3 in the pot someone else likely has your cards which is why I would then fold the all in re raise as one probably has a pocket pair. Unless I had less than 15- 20 big blinds left in which case I would shove. If I had everyone covered by a fair amount I may have called the all in. If the raiser and re-raiser were playing loose I would have called the all in as well.
