i just read about the newest ruling in the US where a decision was overturned stating that poker is more luck than skill. these damn rulings are so annoying and stupid.

i really feel like there's an easy solution to this problem. just line up all these stupid judges and have them put up a year's worth of their salary to play heads up against phil ivey. if it's mostly luck, then these judges should be winning around 50% of the time. obviously, ivey will easily bust every last one of them and prove once and for all that poker is predominantly a skill game.

What cards you are dealt is "luck". What you do with those cards is "skill". I agree that this debate is tiresome.
