He wasn't playing bad poker. That AK v K9 hand was pretty sick
oh yeah, that one hand i wouldn`t blame him for. overall though, his record on televised high stakes cash games is pretty laughable though from what i`ve seen.
and after all, it is phil hellmuth. even if he plays perfectly i still like watching him lose perhaps it`s something about seeing insanely arrogant people fall flat on their face that gives me pleasure.
The only thing that would've made the hand better, would be if Phil kept sitting there till the last card was dealt, then Mike yells out "ACE!" when the river bricks. I would pay money to see Phil's reaction to that lolol.
What also made it great, is how soft he felt the table was.
I think Phil feels his play is +ev longterm to play/act so bad, for his other games.

phil obviously can't handle the high cash games against these great players. watching him try and fail is great.
the record phil should be remember by: being the first player ever on high stakes poker to bust on day one and not reload.
