Poker Rooms in vancouver and area
Hi, my first post. I've read alot here but never signed up.
Guys I'm planning a trip to Vancouver to see a friend of mine.
I was hoping some of you might be familiar with the poker rooms out there.
First and foremost, I prefer omaha. Preferably PLO, but NL will do.
If no decent games are available, I'll play NLHE.
So give it to me, where's the action, donks, and money at?

If you are staying in the city the 2 casinos you want to hit are edgewater casino which is downtown www.edgewatercasino.ca and river rock casino in richmond (near the airport) www.riverrock.com
They both have PLO stakes at 5/5. The action is good, almost allways multi way. Only sat down once. Just play the nuts, and you'll get paid out i find. The players are usually the same at both places, although riverrock has a lower buy in so theres a few more donks. All the games are soft, there is a few regs who play, but most of the time its very loose passive.
Have a godo time, bring enough cash for a few buy-ins. Once in a while Brad Booth shows up at edgewater to play omaha. Usually he cleans up.
They have a bad beat omaha at edgewater though, quad 8's have to lose. Once saw a guy ship 8823 on a 8s9sJs board. other guy held TsQsKdAh or something like that. river came 8 so they hit it, but DAMN thats some bad poker. He flats a pot raise with 8823 so that can give you SOME kind of read i guess
Most PLO players play with danglers, that'll be an advantage
NLH is pretty straight forward. Lots of people want to see flops then shut down post flop, so pop it pretty hard preflop. GL
I've been in edgewater and the one on main st? great canadian I think.
Din't have time to sit down at either.
I know about edgewater as any serious player in canada would.
Other than 5/5 PLO and 1/2 NL, what other games do they have?
Is the 5/5 games strickly PLO or DC? Any H/L?
