Seneca Bad Beat Jackpot!!!

So I went to Senca Friday night to play some 1-2NL with some freinds and our Table hit the Bad Beat Jackpot!!! My friend had quad aces and the other guy hit a ten on the river for quad tens. She walked out with $24,627.61 and I got $3,518.23 not to bad for a nights work lol. The Jackpot was just over $98,500 :D

  • Congrats. Did Seneca spare you all from the 30% withholding tax since the jackpot was from cash games?

    lol
  • nope there holding $1055. Is there any better way of getting that back than using resource management. They charge 25% to get the $1055 back.
  • surprised they let you take a picture. That would be sweet! I came kind of close when the jackpot was at $250k a while back.... two boats vs quads.
  • everyone was taking pictures. The dealer was saying that the poker room is no longer part of the casino. The dealers aren't even allowed to go to the casino dealers lunch room anymore. They have a make shift lunch room behind some sheets in the poker room lol.
  • just wondering, did all the money go in on the flop? make for a real dramatic river card.
  • Yes all the money went in after the flop. She flipped over her aces then he flipped over his tens then the table went nuts and was yelling for a ten. It was really funny
  • The four piles near the dealer tray . . . they counted down the stub, and sorted it? Seems like a bit of overkill . . . nice score, though.
  • very overkill it took 3.5hrs to get paid out

on an hourly basis, I wouldn't complain :)
  • Yeah, but the time charge, Jah . . . what about the time charge? :)

Making sure the deck is intact. Someone could substitute cards and the could would be the same
  • Yeah, I know it makes sense, esp. on a jackpot hand. 3.5 hours?!? Holy ol' bald-headed f***.

plus a $50 initial fee as well

I was told by a tax expect on another poker forum, that you could do the paper work yourself. Would probably take <4-5 hours.

I personally have never tried it, and went the RMS route myself 3 years ago.
